Meet the Artist

Altavista native, art teacher and artist, Lauren Harris, holds a B.A. in Fine Art from Lynchburg College. She's been married to her husband for 11 years and has two boys. Between chasing her boys (+ bulldogs!) and teaching Art full time for Virtual Virginia, she can be found creating pet portraits and watercolor + ink paintings. For 13 years, she has taught elementary, middle and high school art, assisted in the design of the Altavista LOVE sign in 2019, and served on the Altavista on Track Design Committee. She also enjoys teaching classes at Lynchburg's Academy Center of the Arts.
